Purchased this because of the size. Even though I put food in the center the rat was able to get some of the food off without sticking to the trap.Messy, hard to open up by myself. I needed to get help from neighbor just to use them.Had a rodent problem. Rat or squirrel ate a bag of bread. I put these down and haven't seen any site of them again. Someone told me that rats are quite smart and know their areas. If they see something they deem dangerous to them they avoid it. I have 1 week of visits and when I put these down no more visits. Still have them in some areas and they have not come back. Don't let them fall glue side down to a rug it is very hard to get them off.Before buying these I've used--small snap traps, large snap traps, the plastic enclosed maze trap, and the electric Rat Zapper. Not a single indication the mouse had even thought of falling for any of them.VERY sticky material on here. I've been using these for less than a week set up with PB, peanuts, dog pellets, etc. Used a Publix chicken tender and that caught him. Literally a 6"-7" mouse and he wasn't coming off that pad. 95% sure it's just a single mouse(against popular opinion), but buying a second set just to be sure since I know they work!!I thought it was wider than it is and it was difficult to pull apart to open it to use it.very hard to open up.Made on basically thick paper Not even cardboard!!!!and glue is applied on it inconsistently! The glue gets all over your hands just trying to get it out of package, then all over you opening it up. I had to be careful where to put and I had to find a way to secure because no way it will hold a rat if a couple of its feet get free it will walk off with it!!!!!! Huge disappointment and WASTE OF MONEY!The glue and cardboard does not become flat when it’s opened up.I would have to put it in between heavy objects to flatten it out.The way it is, a mouse or rat would have to climb over it to get stuck in the glue.A plastic board would be better to stay flat.A flatter surface would be better and less noticeable.
