1)First off let me say these headphones sound awesome better sound quality than my razer krakens but the microphone sucks i know this from playing with a friend using the exact headphones but i purchased a blue snow ball when i bought the headphones.2)Now to address all of the negative reviews about the headphones breaking for no reason are all over exaggerated they have to be rage quitting or literally plopping down on top of them to break them. I have yanked these things off of my desk to be flung to the floor or hang by the cord and not once did it do anything to damage them and i blame this on the cord length3)i wish the cord was longer but ill just buy a extension because when i go to get up i set my headphones on my desk and somehow the cord hangs off in my seat and i don't see it when i go to sit down and it sends my headphones flying every time i'm actually writing this review because 5 mins ago my headphones got flung off and picked them up to see they were fine and put a smile on my face thinking about all the hate these headphones got so i wanted to write this review4) my ears re not huge but there above normal size and i could wear these for hours back to durability and comfort i have fallen asleep with these on having the headphones only on one ear there just that good and there slim they feel awesome and i have woken up to find them on the floor, no i'm not trying to abuse them i'm just so confident they wont break and the sound quality and comfort keeps these on my head whenever i'm at the house.2 Year Update hope your reading this BretAfter owning these for nearly two years, i have to say that these things sound as amazing as the day i bought them. They have held up really well with no cable kinks, no loss of the rigidity to the comfy ear muffs, and no stretched out head band. Most of the negative reviews talked about the plastic being cheap and breaking off, this isn't the case with mine. Still to this day from my original review i wear these nearly everyday because i started online school when the pandemic happened. I hardly ever play games anymore with school and work, but while using these for music 6+ hours a day i couldn't be happier with the sound quality. I still have not bought the extension like i said i would and yes these still get flung around. If your looking for cheap headphones you will not be dissatisfied with these i promise.3 Year Update, Bret i hope your still out there and holding in strongThe opinions i have formulated about the corsair hs60s still have not changed. The sound quality is still amazing and the only damage they have sustained is a light scuff to the left ear muff. I suppose this happened from the lack of moisturizing after cleaning with a Clorox wipe done at least once a week. Im going to include some photosThe great - Sound quality/frequency response is near ideal/perfect/really well balanced/no weaknesses, mic quality/clarity, headset controls (volume wheel, mic mute button, and the mic is detatchable!), and the looks are great!I bought these specifically because I couldn't afford to replace my Sony MDR 7506's and I wanted something as close as possible to what is IMO the best sounding headphones money can buy. By comparing frequency response charts and reviews on rtings.com (seriously if you need a TV or headphones, don't buy anything until you check out their reviews in detail. They go INSANELY in depth and will tell you factual info that will help you decide what you would like best and my specific needs in this case are a perfect example of this. No, I don't work for them, I just love the service they provide by giving people REAL facts on a TV's or headphones performance, instead of just subjective opinions. Which most gamers will know from game reviews, is often WAY OFF THE MARK)I found that the corsair HS50 or HS60's would be the closest I could get without spending $90 on the actual 7506's so I gave em a try.TL;DR They sound AMAZING. Really well balanced, no weaknesses, and even the microphone sounds great. Really clear.I actually bought these for music, not gaming, but now they've replaced my Astro A40's LOL That wasn't my original intention but they sound better and are just as comfortable since I bought a bigger pair of cushionsThe bad - the surround sound on PC is kinda useless. Comparing it to my Astro mixamp, the surround sound simulation is not great, and the app has almost no settings. The ear cushions could be thicker. They're not bad by any means but they have 2 issues. At least with my big ass ears, my ear ends up resting against the speaker grill which gets uncomfortable after a couple of hours. Also, there's not a ton of noise isolation eitherHOWEVER, with the bigger cushions I bought on amazon, they're MUCH more comfortable. I can wear them for several hours (5+) with no major issues, AND with these cushions the noise isolation is MUCH MUCH BETTER.If you're a gamer, you might not actually want too much noise isolation. That's why I liked the Astro A40's. They were comfortable AND let in enough outside noise so that I could hear if someone was talking to me from the other room. These let in even more outside noise with the original ear cushions. So if you're comfortable with the standard ear cups on these, you might not want to replace em.But like I said, I use these for music and gaming and for music, the bigger ear cups I bought are a lot better, and more comfortable for gaming. I live alone now anyways so the sound isolation isn't an issue. Conclusion: Buen audio, buen microfono, buen aspecto. Bought these because of their great reviews on amazon and youtube, and the rating of some of the best headsets under 100$I'm not an audiophile, but they sound really good, and provide a good spatial awareness in game. I've got a large head, and while they are very rigid they have a great clamping force and are super comfy. The drivers don't touch my ears either, but that's more or a per use case than anything. There is no active noise cancellation on the mic, or headset. But they seat really well around your ears that background noise is filtered really good. Finally, I wish the mic had audio pass through back into the headset, they isolate really well, so it would be nice to hear yourself speak to gauge how loud you talk. This was a feature on my old turtle beach x31s that I really enjoyed. En general para el precio es un buen producto.I had previously purchased the HS70 but the side of the headband snapped. So when I when saw that the HS60 was essentially HS70 but wired and cheaper, I decided to give it a try. Upon listening to it the first time, I noticed a crackling sound in some songs. I found that this problem would arise when I set the volume to higher than 70%. This was annoying but not my main complaint. The right earcup is faintly quieter than the left earcup. When I press the right earcup against the side of my head, I could hear a crinkling suction sound that would make the volume even on both sides, but when I would release my hand, the uneven sound would persist. It seems like I received a defective headset. After experiencing these issues, I have resolved myself to keep away from purchasing any more corsair products. which is a shame since I have bought the M55 mouse(spent an hour installing and uninstalling ICUE because the computer would not recognize the macro button on the sides.), A 650W gold PSU, and the aforementioned HS70(poor construction). To whoever is considering buying this headset, I ask that you reconsider and look elsewhere if you want a reliable headset that doesn't come broken right out the box.
